An informative talk from Malcolm outlining the history and insight of the local glasshouse industry.

SOCIAL EVENING

MICHAEL GILSON, BEHIND THE PRIVET HEDGE


Following the successful book of the same name, Michael will unveil the untold origin story of the British suburban garden. He will also bring along copies of his book for sale on the evening.

COACH OUTING TO KEW GARDENS


“Come down to Kew in lilac time”. Yes, our first outing is to Kew. Beat all the congestion and clean air charges by joining us on a coach to London. Always plenty to see and explore. Coach and entrance is £40.

COACH OUTING TO RHS GARDENS HYDE HALL


This RHS gem nestles in the heart of rural Essex. Completely remodelled in line with Wisley, this garden offers a mix of styles from traditional cottage gardens to modern aspiration.

The coach bargain of the year at £25 for coach and entrance.

 


Thursday 10th July

COACH OUTING TO NT HINTON AMPNER


A National Trust house and garden set in the Hampshire countryside just north of Portsmouth. The Georgian style house is filled with an array of treasures while the tranquil gardens offer exotic colour with repeat flowering roses, lawns and topiary; all to the backdrop of the South Downs.

Coach and entrance is £38 but if you are a NT member, £26
